Women in the Military

Join us at the Stephentown Library for a talk on the history of women in the military by Ret. Lt Col. Diana Clark from Stephentown, NY.

Ms. Clark will give a historical perspective of women in the military as well as discuss the myths surrounding the many roles that women have while serving in the US military.

 

Diana Clark spent 8 years in the Army Reserve as a Critical Care Field Nurse, 16 years in the Air Force Reserves as a Flight Nurse/Medical Crew Director. In 2004-2005 she served with the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing. During this deployment she served in both Iraq and Africa. Ms. Clark completed 16 Air Evacuation Combat missions during the height of the battles of Falluja and Mosul in Iraq and was awarded an  Air Medal.

She retired at the rank of Lt Col.

In her civilian life, Ms. Clark is a registered nurse and graduated from Pace University with a Bachelor of Science.
