The Stephentown Library has a new collection of Children’s Pictures books that have won the prestigious Caldecott Medal which goes to the artist of the most distinguished picture book of the year. The award was first handed out in 1937 and has been given to one artist every year since.

Join us at SML for a discussion about the books that have won the Caldecott. What are the themes that are seen, why do we think certain books won during certain time periods, what do you think of the books? We are excited to highlight this new collection to SML and dive into the fascinating history of children’s picture book illustrations.
