Jamming at the Library!

February 17 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Jamming at the Library!

Do you play an instrument?  Do you sing?  Are you itching to get together with other local musicians and “jam out”? You’re invited to the Stephentown Memorial Library’s very first jam session on Saturday, February 17th at 3pm.  No matter your skill level or the type of music you prefer, you are welcome to join us!

We’ll use this first session to gauge interest, to play some tunes, and to get your input on how to move forward with these musical get-togethers.  Should we have different jams based on playing comfort level? On music genre (bluegrass, rock, folk, jazz?)? Or do we continue with just a “come one, come all model”? What’s the best days and times of the week for jamming? We want to hear from you!

We’d love to see a variety of instruments, from stringed to brass. It’s best to start out with songs that people are likely to know and something not too complex, and if you can bring the chords and lyrics, that would be great.  For this first session, acoustic instruments only. Musicians Scott Connors and Deborah Edison will break the ice with a couple of tunes.

Share this announcement with your friends. And please, for this first jam session, RSVP by clicking here or by calling the library at 518-733-5750. It will help us to know how many jammers we can expect, and please let us know what instrument(s) you’ll be playing. If you have any questions, please reach out to Kim Roppolo at or by calling 518-733-5750.

Note: The jam session is free to all who wish to attend.
