Summer Camp Director – Stephentown
Stephentown Memorial Library is seeking a director for the Stephentown Summer Camp program. The director will be responsible for working with the library to plan, organize and supervise a four- week, 6 hour/day, summer camp for children ages 6 through 12 (expect 45-55 campers).
The Director will work several hours per week in April and May then expands hours in June to accommodate camper registration, staff selection and training and preparation. The Director will work 8am to 2pm, Monday through Friday, for four weeks beginning July 10, 2017. The Director will supervise counselors, counselors-in-training and volunteers and work in concert with the library’s director and Board oversight committee. The position is expected to require 140 – 160 hours over four months, mostly in July, with total compensation of $2,250 for the period. Preferred candidates will have experience working with children and/or teens (teacher/coach/daycare).
This job requires the ability to pass a criminal background check and review of the Office of Children and Family Services Central Register Database for reported incidents of child abuse and maltreatment.
